There are a number of typologies of unskilled migrant labourers working in diverse sectors - building and infrastructure construction, industrial manufacturing, brick making, salt pan, agriculture, and more…

Their duration at work site, their changing employers or not, their wage arrangement, family versus single males….and many such factors influence their living and wellbeing at work destination.  Their wages have increased and their capacity to pay for decent living units have increased.  But even so, their housing, sanitation, energy and social services are grossly inadequate.
